What is Hip-Hop at home?
Hip-Hop at Everdance is a beginner-friendly online course that teaches the foundational grooves — bounce, rock, ice box — and builds them into full combinations you can dance to your favorite tracks. Every class breaks choreography into small repeatable pieces, so you learn at your own speed without the pressure of a studio full of strangers.
Practicing at home means you can repeat a move fifty times until it clicks, film yourself when you want, and nobody watches the awkward first attempts. Two square meters of floor, sneakers or bare feet, and 15–25 minutes a day are enough to see real progress in coordination, rhythm and confidence within a few weeks.
Hip-Hop — frequently asked
- Is hip-hop too hard for total beginners?
- No. Everdance hip-hop classes start from the absolute basics — weight shifts, bounce and simple grooves — before any choreography appears. Each combo is broken into 4-count pieces you can loop until it feels natural.
- Do I need special shoes or clothes?
- Sneakers or bare feet work fine. Wear anything you can move in — joggers, leggings, an oversized tee. The style is about attitude, not outfit.
- Will hip-hop give me a real workout?
- Yes. A 25-minute hip-hop session keeps your heart rate in the cardio zone, burns 200–300 kcal and trains legs, core and coordination — it just feels like dancing, not exercise.
What hip-hop practice builds
Grooves train your body to find the beat — the skill behind every other style.
Hip-hop is self-expression. Swagger in class becomes confidence outside it.
Full combos keep your heart rate up — 200–300 kcal without noticing the work.
Layered arms-over-legs combos rewire body awareness faster than any machine.
Your hip-hop path
Bounce, rock, weight shifts. No choreography yet — just rhythm in the body.
Signature moves stacked into 8-counts. Repeat until they feel like yours.
Complete routines to real tracks. Film yourself — the progress is visible.
Two square meters of clear floor — a living-room rug is plenty.
Sneakers with some slide, or bare feet on a mat. Both work.
Phone speaker is fine; headphones make the bass hit harder.

“Lost 3 kg without weighing food. I just kept pressing play because the music is that good.”

“Day 21 I did the whole combo for my husband. He cried. I cried. Worth every minute.”

“I haven't sweated like this since college. And I'm laughing the whole time.”
